No pictures until tomorrow, sorry. But here is an update. Today we went to a few local shops so everyone could buy a curio or two, and then we went to the orphanage to spend a few hours with the kids.
It was shocking for us to see the old orphanage where the kids lived in conditions that words could not convey. But today, they all moved into the new place, where we had built the four structures. the students played ball and tag, helped make a traditional Mozambican meal and just mugged around with the kids. It was a very emotional experience for all of us.
Tomorrow we take a boat trip to a world heritage site, the Bazaruto Archipelego, for some snorkeling and sightseeing.
We can't believe we have to leave here so soon. Everyone wants to stay and we all are planning on returning to Africa.

You are ALL an inspiration to us here at home!
My sweet Hannah, I shed tears every time I read another excerpt from the blog.
Of course you will all go back, this is a wonderful initiation for some and a positive reminder for others of the joy that comes with volunteering.
There is nothing you can give more generous than to give of your time!
Carry on and know that you have enthusiastic support back home :)
Hi Mark.
Thinking ahead, when you return on Friday night, would it be possible for Maxine to be dropped off at the Hampton Jitney stop in Hampton Bays, at the Macys right off the hgy? Probably Arlis will want this as well.
Thank you so much for your blog. it has been amazing to follow.
Mindy
The picture of the child with the baby was so moving. I am sure you all have an an unforgetable experience.
Reading Mindy's request I would agree if they could be dropped at the Hampton Bays exit at the Macy's parking lot it would be great. Let us know? Thanks!
Alexandra
Can't wait to see you... If Arlis and Maxine could be dropped at Macy's in Hampton Bays that would be great! Let us know? Thanks, Alexandra
